Went for a walk yesterday morning and the not-quite-a-puppy-anymore border collie was out. I was under instructions to ‘not be weird around dogs’ so we walked around but it didn’t work because the dog saw me and pulled on the lead to come and say hello. It was so snuggly! After some scritches, he sat on my foot and leaned on me, looking up so I could reach under his chin. He is so floofy! Your hands disappear entirely when you stroke him!

@DJGummikuh It’s more the ‘acknowledge the humans, don’t just talk to the dogs’ bit. Fortunately, I married someone who is willing to talk to the humans while I play with the dogs.
@david_chisnall that's actually a very valid point on the checklist for searching a partner 🤔 "entertains the owner while I snuggle with doggo" 🤣
