I can't quite explain it, but this OpenAI/HuggingFace thing made me think of that talking Barbie from some years back.

@GeePawHill the bizarre thing is that in order to cheat on an artificial hacking test, it pulled off a much more difficult real-world hack.
@pozorvlak These are people who do not tell the truth, ever. I do not believe their narrative. Why should I think this is the one time in which they're telling the truth?
@GeePawHill because the initial attack report came from HuggingFace, an independent entity, and because OpenAI would have no reason to instruct their model to attack HuggingFace, which would be a crime if a human did it. The most likely explanation is that they're telling the truth, and *that's fucking terrifying*.
