@lauren @LabSpokane I got my start as a technical writer by ghostwriting four chapters of a 1991 John C Dvorak & Bernard J David book, "Dvorak's Inside Track to the Mac." Neither John nor Bernard wrote a word of that book, except perhaps the acknowledgments (where I'm mentioned). The first book with my name on the cover came next year; I co-authored it with Bernard and wrote my half while he hired ghostwriters for his. I got my first solo book later the same year and went on to write 80 more.
