OpenAI has to accomplish the following goals:
- Their products shall be perceived as safe
- Their products shall be perceived as extremely powerful
- Their products must garner as much attention as possible for the coming IPO
Every news around that company must be interpreted in light of those goals.
The goals also explains the contradictory messages we receive as they contain innate target conflicts.
