Florida pastor sues OpenAI, says ChatGPT's medical advice delayed
emergency treatment: Report
@lauren All of these companies know with certainty how people use technology. Therefore, they know people will die using their technology. If we keep letting corporations kill with impunity where do we expect this to lead?
@lauren Darwin called
@sumisu NO! NO! NO! That's frankly disgusting. This is 100% on the AI companies, not on ordinary people being pushed to use and trust these horrific LLM monsters, with the firms taking zero responsibility for the damage.
I think this is just blaming the victim. 99% of people (and 100% of programmers) have no idea how computers work, let alone an LLM.
They are handed a tool, and told -- loudly and repeatedly -- that it "thinks" and can summarize all human knowledge for the asking.
So they ask. And they get answers. Why *wouldn't* they trust that?
Expecting an average person to "know better" is asinine. You should be ashamed of yourself.
