@david_chisnall it's been finicky in my experience. Sometimes some of the participants aren't able to view it or is frozen after starting. But I've always tried to use it, as it was very crisp.

Around 10 years ago I filed a feature request for such an integration to be added between Google Slides and Google Hangouts (or whatever Google Meet was called at the time, I have lost track of all the names it has had throughout the years).

I don’t know if any tool had such an integration at the time. I just felt it would make life so much easier for anyone doing presentations and also be less resource consuming.

Office has so many buttons, and half of them are so complex and buggy (wrap for images in word) that I never try anything new unless I really need to

but if someone else tries out the new feature, and it works, I might use it

It looks like the file has to be on OneDrive. I think that's enough for people to decide not to go further with the option; they're already spending most of their day telling Windows NOT to save on OneDrive.

@david_chisnall I feel like the standard is to show a PDF of slides. Seems to work better in most environments.

@david_chisnall I guess nobody expects to find a really useful feature in Teams...

@david_chisnall someone held a presentation in my team recently where instead of a PowerPoint presentation, they showed a series of screenshots of PowerPoint

@david_chisnall i also find it annoying that people tend to not use it, I try to use it but have had rendering issues on it on more specific ppt features before or even fonts that are not common across devices, so I find i have to design with shareability in mind when making the ppt
