Reminder, social media bans for kids are nothing to do with protecting kids, and everything to do with removing anonymity from the web.

@quixoticgeek Exactly. For years there was the push for ChatControl by EU, and now "age verification" is their new way towards autocracy.
I guess that's what you get when many politicians are addicted to "social media" like Twitter and "Truth" Social (where else can one be the first to read what unhinged Trump has said), filled with greed, leaning back in their own ego, and surrounded by lobbyists.

Honestly whatever the governments are planning to do with that data scares me.
Possibly censoring opponents?
Tracking in general?
If they say anything like "Why be afraid if you have nothing to hide?" (they probably already have) then why should you care about free speech if you have nothing to say?
