I’m enjoying this relatively simple, portable triple screen travel setup of a solid OLED Chromebook and the asus fold out double OLED screen, with only two usb-c cables (it can drive both panels independently with one cable) and a single dual port compact usb-c GaN charger. I only need the third cable plugged in when the Chromebook runs low and that Kompanio chipset is Apple M2 level quality!

If you run the external 2-panel OLED display off the laptop battery, even at low brightness, it's 50% reduction in battery life. Just tested. And it's not that much power draw, like 6w, from the inline cable power meter. That's still 4-5 hours of runtime, though, at 100% battery.

@fazalmajid you can select how they appear in the settings: one giant stretched, 2 completely independent with 2 connectors, 2 via one connector, or simple both screens mirror the primary. It's great!
@codinghorror OK, you convinced me. I was going to get their 16" single-screen OLED but I'll wait for Black Friday and see if they have any deals, as at £500 list price it's fairly expensive here in the UK.
@fazalmajid the folding is nice to have three screens and it travels well. Plus OLED. 🤤 .. it's got a great range of settings and "just works"

@saige you can use the laptop as a power source, so then if the laptop itself is plugged in, you're good. Lemme try that! Yes that works fine. 1 cable.
