Is there such thing as a modern programming language without controversy ;-; now I'm hearing about Andrew Kelly of Zig going crazy over the Bun situation..
Genuinely considering dumping Zig and focusing my efforts on regular ol' C instead, LOL. So sick of stuff like this happening to every single project now and just want something neutral
..or if anyone has other suggestions I'm all ears :P
Elixir. José Valim is one of the best humans on earth. friendly, helpful, and smart. i remember sending a PR to Phoenix Framework and José merged it in 4 minutes.
although they are now big on LLMs but that's a natural consequence of Elixir trying (and doing it very well!) to take the ML niche long before all this hype.
as a language Elixir is very-very good at things it's designed for (web, ML, DS, distributed systems).
