This decision shows what it means to turn a commitment into institutional change. It also sends an important signal: open research information provides a shared foundation for transparent, reproducible, and inclusive research analytics, sustained by continued investment in the infrastructures that generate and provide it.
Congratulations to @cwts one of the Barcelona Declarationβs initiators! π
Today we announce a next step in our transition to open research information: CWTS will discontinue the use of Web of Science data, both in the Leiden Ranking and in the services that we offer to external organisations.
This step aligns with our work towards open research information, notably in our focal area Information & Openness, the Open Edition of our Leiden Ranking, and the @BarcelonaDORI that we co-initiated.
