@thomasfuchs How long will he stay in power? 2 years, give or take. Will he change things for the better? Probably not: he's opening new gas fields in the North Sea (against a manifesto commitment, BTW) and sucking up to Trump, but otherwise, he seems mostly as wet as Starmer (though he *may* do something about the water companies if we're lucky)...
@thomasfuchs Based on the majority of the cabinet appointments, it sadly seems to be more of the same.
I’m guessing that at some point prior to becoming PM you have to trade-in your beliefs and spinal column, for an acceptance of the increasingly narrow status-quo.
Still, hope springs eternal and all that.

@thomasfuchs Given that he's rubber-stamping new gas fields as essentially his first act, it's not looking great for "change for the better".
