I wonder if I can glue on some NFC tag on my glasses and use it as locator. I’m not very good with electronics though. Feedbacks are welcome
@farah
NFC tags only work at very close range.
Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) might work, but IDK if those come small enough, since they still need a battery to function.
Would putting them on a chain work? Or perhaps a pin made to hold them? The hard part will still be making the habit of putting them someplace predictable, but if the predictable place is "attached to you" it at least means you don't have to go anywhere to put them down *or* pick them up.
@farah I always put my glasses down in the same place or else I lose them.
Not a technical solution and it may not help much with the kids, but if they get into the habit of doing it they won't lose much of anything.
Took me a long time to learn that.
@roknrol Same. I have a catch all basket where I dump my keys, glasses and wallet; occasionally my Swiss knife. All the things I need when I walk out the door.
This is the first time the kid lost his glasses. Obviously mom wasn’t near during these shenanigans
