This seems so obvious that it feels silly to even say it... but if your "leadership" consists of having a chat bot write "motivational" or (worse -- FAR FAR WORSE) "strategic" missives for you, and then send those out to "your people", don't be surprised if they won't be "your people" much longer.
The complete failure of leadership, being replaced by "leadership" at large companies is heartbreaking. But of course, every inflection point creates opportunities.
The chat bot led teams (and companies) will fail, and actual leaders will find many ways to make a difference and advance.
The way I try to dumb this down for the people in the back is this: "if you can't be bothered to write this, I can't be bothered to read it..."
Few people realize how much credibility they lose once it’s clear their writings and actions are output from ChatGPT and Claude.
If you’re a leader who uses AI in such a noticeable manner (and people notice even if you think they don’t), it’s shooting yourself in the foot in the worst way possible.
