We already entered a stage where it's too late for many things: Loss of productive soil, agricultural stability in many regions, etc.
It is now time to act to avoid total disaster. Yes, phrasing it this was this is not scientifically modest. But is it not too late to be pleasant with our dear politicians? Should we not bluntly ask "How dare you?" or "Do you actually hate your (grand) children?"?

You're right. Unfortunately, the majority of the people are distracted into working hard to accumulate wealth, survive and get entertained. Only a few people are paying attention to the danger we're heading to if we don't take action. Others believe it's not that their problem because they're not victims yet. Should we do our best to open their eyes or we take action and influence them gradually ?

Is not a contradiction. There is much to learn for many. We need new ideas based on established technology. So, it is a step-by-step process or a gradual process. But the learning curve needs to be steep.
To say "the gloves are off" does lead nowhere. But we may call out nonsense, where we find it.

That's right, a lot indeed need to be learnt by many but who's willing to teach them?
Bu the time all haven't won't it be too late to make a impact?
@nuwagaba2 This process is not, IMO, in a classroom setting. It is made by example (#solarpunk) or in discussions. What I expressed here is about policymaking. Actual education becomes relevant, when engineering tasks are involved, for instance.
