If you didn't bother to write the PR or code yourself, why should I bother reading your slop?
@catsalad let "claude" handle it I guess? Lol
@catsalad
"If you couldn't bother to write it, why should I bother to read it?"
@catsalad A colleague of mine is super AI pilled and will ask me to review 1000 line PRs he slopped together. I've given up and just slap a +1 on it because it's not production facing and I don't have to maintain that pile of shit anyways. (For now at least). The corp is too "AI IS THE FUTURE" for me to be able to just tell him "no, rewrite it in manageable chunks by hand".
@catsalad I’m now imagining an art project, where someone with an open source project makes a fork, and sets the forked version to accept every ai pull request that is based on the most recent main branch commits and passes the test suite. I wonder how long it’d take for the bots (or their herders) to completely break it, and whether any of them would step up and start trying to repair the slop damage?
@catsalad Because there's a bet on how many butts you'll find.
