If this has anything to do with subnet masking I'm going to be like, fuck, I know it exists and just use that as an excuse for why things won't work because goddamn if I can fix it some I amn't the network administrator and a lot of hardware I work with is industrial gear like heat pumps which simply pressumes 255.255.255.0 and exposes nothing else.

as usual, I am making a thing behave in unintended ways as a feature.
Now I'm curious. But I presume you can't tell. And I'm so far outside the universe of computing these days that I doubt I'd properly understand
@DartzIRL So I helped build this thing called veilid... built a badge on it as a defcon trinket that also runs veilid.
then realized my access methods were not going to work at DEF CON, so totally retooling that.
