They wrote down that university and PhD programs are a big problem, because they create large numbers of legal non-white immigrants.

Periodic reminder that a professor at University of Illinois read the same ethnic cleansing papers that I had read, and realized that if Trump won the election he really would put Stephen Miller in charge of immigration.🤦🏿♂️
So he took out insurance against a drop in Asian students.
It paid out big!🤷🏿♂️
And here's the thing about their efforts to eliminate immigration, and cut US university funding for "efficiency 🤡":
US Universities are not "over-subsidized."
All of this was part of a multi-decade national defence and economic defense strategy to keep the USA 5 to 10 years ahead on technology.
Maybe the best new physicist in the world is a white man from Philadelphia. Maybe it's an Indian woman from Hyderabad.
Maybe it's a Black woman from Accra. Maybe it's an Asian woman from Seoul.
It doesn't matter.
The strategy was designed to have them decide they'd rather be here in the USA.

I'm never quite sure if these guys just assume that a white skin naturally endows one with brilliance, and therefore the US will just stay the leader in everything
Or
If they realize this will turn the US into a laggard in science and technology, but see that as acceptable so long as they get their ethnostate dream
So the USA made sure that the best research universities in the world, are here in the USA.♥️👍🏿
If the US goes to an African country and mines 50% of the oil or diamonds, the extraction is obvious.
But less obvious if the US goes to Nigeria and recruits 50% of their top 20 science students.
Part of the reason the extraction is harder to see, is that most of those top students are jumping up and down, and yelling "Extract me! Extract me! Mekka, shut up! Don't you dare mess this up for me! I'm trying to go to CalTech!"
The system was working for everyone, except for the racists.

A group of US universities had a deal with my Spanish one: we'll send you a class of Spanish learners and you send us seven PhD candidates for one year. They just have to be proficient in English.
That's how I spent a year at Cornell. I was told I could try to apply to the regular program. My credentials were OK in my field. I would fill diversity, maybe.
The goal wasn't hunting me, not exactly. The important bit were the US undergrads. But in the last years I've thought a lot about that exchange and how now it wouldn't work the same way.

And goes without saying:
If you only aim for "the productive immigrants🤡" you miss out on the very obvious fact that some people's children are more technical than their parents.
If you only let PhD holding immigrants in, you miss out on Syrian Americans like Istefan bin Jandali.
