I wonder what’s going on in tech bros like DHH who are literally millionaires and live some sort of jet-set life (think race car driving, houses in multiple countries) that they turn complete Nazi and blame brown people for [not sure what] and call for a ethnic cleansing of Europe.

@thomasfuchs My guess is that they take extreme anti-aging treatments (because they don’t want to die and let go of their wealth) that are messing with their mind, like testosterone and other hormones.
@thomasfuchs "that they turn ..." you're assuming there was a change in there, normally is always there, underneath and socially censored, just needed the right audience (or enough money for not to care)
Also, there are mental issues that affect the prefrontal cortex turn folks towards paranoia, conspiracy theories (including aliens) and racisms.
But I don't think is that case for him.
@luislavena Fwiw I knew him personally like twenty years ago and he was definitely not like that, even championed for inclusivity etc.
@thomasfuchs it is not so difficult to understand why very wealthy people would rather blame Others for societal difficulties, and support political entrepreneurs defending these ideas, than wealth inequality...
@thomasfuchs with wealth, they reveal who they always were because they no longer fear any consequences.
