Amtrak Northeast Corridor trains have been delayed/slowed today by both extreme heat (which causes speed restrictions due to increased risk of rail deformation and buckling) as well as hazardous air (which limits outdoor activity by the crews that service and turn trains).

And now looks to be better than the future we're bequeathing the next generations, as long as we we continue down this course.
That's not inevitable, of course, but our track record as a whole society (US) isn't looking so great at the moment.
Educate future generations. And vote. Those actions really matter.
@mattblaze Undoubtedly. His answer is to open up more of our public lands for misuse and abuse adding to the problem.
