I saw a quote in a different article where someone from Reflect Orbital said it was totally fine to look at the satellite with a telescope. Meanwhile, in their own FCC reply comment, they said that you could possibly have eye damage by looking at the satellite with telescopes 12 inches or larger.

There’s a near-zero chance that this dumb space mirror ploy is for “boosting green energy.” It is almost certainly a weapon of some kind. I don’t mean in a secret gov program way, but in a “cooperate or you’ll never know the night again” kinda way. If nothing else, there’s NO chance this is for the altruistic benefit of humanity.

@sundogplanets It continues to madden me that articles like this fail to mention that there is no way the claimed benefits can result in a revenue stream that turns a profit. Which suggests that the intention is to sell the company to credulous fools who haven't figured that out.

Saw a post that said if Trump and Republicans can threaten Canada with tariffs and even invasion because fires in Canada are smoking out US cities, then everyone else should be able to sue the US for stealing the night sky.
