Am I overreacting in my thoughts, or is Trump openly laying the groundwork for a coup in November?
P. S. I know many people here is aware of the danger. My concern is whether the press, civil society, and political movements can do enough to stop it.
@everton137 not overreacting, no, but those laying the groundwork are not the same as the figure who plays to the cameras. Years and years there have been and still are people working to prevent other people from gaining education and discouraging knowledge of languages. Too many of us have little ability to research and understand local and other matters up for vote, other than using a search engine online. Our present condition was predictable and future will be determined by luck. You asked whether one is openly laying the groundwork for a coup, but I say the one we see merely is not preventing those in the background from laying that groundwork.
if enough US citizens wrote/emailed/phoned/screamed
outside their office to their congressional reps to IMPEACH
or face voter outrage ending their career, and
kept it up, we could regain our #democracy

@everton137 That's the issue, isn't it: Will people *finally* accept this reality, and act accordingly (not just the media and political class, but the general public), or will current events rhyme with the history of what's happened so many times before, in so many places?
I believe there are still many horrors we will suffer before the overwhelming majority are spurred to action.
His goals are *literally* in writing, so how can there be any doubts?
