I'm really glad I listened to my intuition in April. I knew my level of pain probably didn't warrant a trip to the ER, but I just had this... this feeling, deep inside of me, that *something* was wrong.
And I was right. Even if it wasn't what I thought it was.
I've had essential thrombocythemia for at least 4-5 years without knowing. But I'm glad I got the diagnosis when I did, before I started having more than "some fatigue" as a symptom.
I would have been so confused this past month with the burning extremities and the *intense* fatigue I've been experiencing. It's not more fun because I know, but at least I know why. And that's it's normal.
Trust yourself. You know your body better than anyone else.
