Hahaha apparently The Conversation sends you a congratulatory email when you have the most reads of the week now. Excellent. Now if only Reflect Orbital's investors and insurers would read it and STOP GIVING THEM MONEY https://theconversation.com/the-u-s-just-approved-a-giant-space-mirror-to-test-sunlight-on-demand-low-earth-orbit-is-getting-weird-283482
@sundogplanets Let us bludgeon some sense into them! With the full meaning of the phrase.
@sundogplanets
A "space hotel"?
Ever read the sequel to "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory"?
There's a rumor they are making the movie. 🙏
@sundogplanets @Lazarou
"A giant mirror to create “sunlight on demand” was just approved by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC),"
Then they had better make sure that their idiotic mirrors illuminate only the US. The FCC has no authority to approve stuff that does damage to/in other countries. Contrary to what some in Washington D. C. seem to be thinking, the US don't own the planet.
How long before sunlight is a paid subscription service?
That's gotta be the plan in someone's mind. Step 1, build equipment to provide sunlight on demand. Step2, block out all natural sunlight. Step 3, profit, like an asshole.
