We often mix football and politics, especially during the World Cup, and yet, not enough people remind everyone else that Argentina is a white supremacist country and its team is of the same vein.
@David i think you missed a word there, I think either "president" (after Argentina) or "state" (after "supremacist).
@tshirtman "country" the missing word was "country".
@David @tshirtman So every Argentinian is a Nazi?
@gullevek @tshirtman No.
Not every German was a Nazi in the 30s-40s. Not every Israeli is a genocider. Not every American is an imperialist fascist.
@David @tshirtman Then why do we equalize the whole country with an ideology?
@gullevek @tshirtman Because the ideology is weaved into the fabric of the country.
Just like imperialism is with the US (fascism comes and goes, it's true), or anti-Muslim colonialism is with Israel.
(Germany was a bad example, as it was a moment in history, not structurally part of the country)
@David @tshirtman I think it is sad we equal a country with an ideology. It’s the political and rich leadership that sets the ideology. Not a country. A country is just boundaries set on the map
@gullevek @tshirtman A country is not a piece of land. A country is a history, culture(s), and ideologies, yes.
@David @tshirtman Countries change. Countries divide. Countries disappears. Counties have nothing to do with ideologies.
@gullevek @tshirtman And how do they change, divide and disappear??? Magic? bad luck?
@David @tshirtman War. Political changes.
