After 12 years of providing free and open environmental data, Sentinel-1A has officially ended its mission.
It helped us track oil spills, glaciers, sea ice, floods, wildfires and supported emergency responses, and more.
But as one chapter closes, a much bigger one awaits:
👉 We've transitioned operations to Sentinel-1C and 1D
👉 With the newly launched Sentinel-4 and 5, we will soon expand our Copernicus programme.
The future or Earth observation is European ⬇️
