You know you have cognitive overload when you look at your to-do list and realize that item number one is "do the" because you got so distracted by everything you have to do that you forgot to actually list what it is that you need to do

@annaleen I literally had a to-do item earlier this week saying “do the thing I promised whatshername”.

@annaleen It was not until I was well into nominally adult age that I understood the degree to which Frog & Toad were aspirational non-fiction.

@annaleen item 1 is always "make list".. bit meta, but you can strike that one off immediately when list is made and move right to item 2 cup of tea
