The annoying thing is he could have stated his preferences regarding kernel maintenance policy is a way which sounds respectful, understanding, and willing to meet others where they are. I might not like his opinion, but I don't think I would be talking much about it one way or another.
Instead, he just comes across as a massive tool. And that's a real fucking problem. "Fork it or GTFO" is NOT leadership. It's gross.
@jaredwhite He has clearly mentally chalked up all disagreement about AI as "ethical concerns", which makes it very easy to be very superior about rejecting all arguments with a "don't tread on me" attitude.
The fact that the ethical concerns revolve around license violation seem to carry no purchase - they are all simply non-technical (and thus stupid) arguments.
