Picked the first 2 teeny tiny zucchini today! (And I picked them teeny tiny because I can see that I'm going to be drowning in zucchini in about 2 days. Why did my partner plant 12 zucchini plants?!)

my mom planted 4 when i was in high school for a family of four.
she wound up taking them to the bank where she worked and giving them away to customers. :)

@sundogplanets you can give zucchini away! I'd take them for cooking but I don't think we're in the same town.
I used to take buckets of feijoas from my mother's trees into my workplace. Co workers were delighted.

omg you're the second person I've seen to say they have TWELVE plants! Just one is enough for a large family!
@sundogplanets Your partner is a sadist? But zucchini fritters are great. And grated zucchini freezes well and makes splendid zucchini fritters in the fall.
I didn't plant any squash at all this spring because I fell and broke my hip two days before I planned to plant. So I'm a tiny bit envious. Would I have put in 12 plants? No.
