Oh fuck. My phone wants to uodate to Android 17. I used to be excited for new versions, but Google has also killed this excitement. Apparently it's Gemini everywhere with this version. Has anyone tried it? Is there a way to opt out from the Gemini features?

@David There is something funny/sad about how os updates used to be something nearly everyone looked forward to… whereas now people at best just don't care (and most often dread them).
@David I've been declining the upgrade every day for over a week, but yesterday a notice popped up telling me to restart to complete the update. I think they forced it through.
(I haven't restarted the phone. We'll see how long I can swing through the trees on this.)
@fgbjr That's what I was thinking, but yeah, they'll force the update eventually. Also, I'm afraid it could affect security updates.?
