it’s a mediocre unix-like and the only reason why I use it is because of binary compatibility and drivers, things that linus didn’t contribute to the kernel in any way that matters for modern programs or hardware

if not for compatibility and drivers, I’d be on a BSD

since it’s not a “social warrior project” and the use of LLMs is going to make its codebase fucking unsustainable, I now struggle to technically differentiate the Linux kernel from the windows kernel in any way that matters
