@kolombiken you know, this black and white warbler was surprising silent, and completely surprised me when they appeared (just for a second)!

I didn't get out on the hike I'd wanted to, but I'm staying with a friend and she lives near other trails, so before she was up I just headed out on a hike of my own.
I also heard a wood thrush!! Also a veery.
