very funny that in order to fetch the lore.kernel.org post i had to go through anubis which i consider a symptom of ai scraping. I (used to?) follow the IT director for the linux foundation, dunno what their username is, but I remember the posts regarding the mass scraping of git and how it was making kernel foundation infrastructure unavailable for real users. This is why Anubis is even on there to begin with. I kinda unironically think that if they're going to utilize the same technology that disrupted real user access to the repository, they should remove the guards in place for scraping said code base. Let's see how quickly it becomes a technical issue instead of a religious one...
