I'm sorry. Yesterday I reshared Morevna's derivation animation without considering (because unaware) their support to Russian state propaganda during the Ukraine war (src: see https://awawa.club/notice/B8KQeteAjwfTJAYUEq or comments under my boost).

I let flattery, and my familiarity to this team blinds me, and boosted without studying it. That was a mistake.

To clarify: I don't support that AT ALL.

Thank you to those who pointed this out. I apologize for not thinking critically and will do better next time.

What a world do we live in, where the first reaction you must have upon learning about literally anybody is to start a full background check! But so is life, and that's why I'm reticent to partaking in any group projects in general.

@csolisr Well, similar to to the "Anyone but Stefan Esser" (ABSE) license*, David could craft a new license for future works, but it wouldn't be true CC0 anymore.

@csolisr That's beyond the scope of a license. The best thing that could be done is for other members of the community to adapt David's work in order to reclaim it, as well as to defend it. Obviously as well as advocating for peace, and speaking out against war and fascism.

Edit: David disavowing them is a great thing too!

@jectoons @csolisr IIRC the CC licenses, while irrevocable, do allow you to demand that your name be taken off the derivative work.

Which may or may not be worth doing in practice. If it were me, I'd be afraid that contacting them for this would be construed as picking a fight. But I'm often nonconfrontational to the point of cowardice so take that with a grain of salt.
