@randahl I have very limited contacts in Russia. But those I have are still in favor of Putin (which is why my contacts to them is very limited).
Why does russia need the tsar-like rule? Because it's the only thing they know. After putin: either another tsar, or a violent breakup. Or perhaps both.

@osma @jabgoe2089 Nazi Germany fell, and today Germany is one of the most successful countries in Europe. So never say never.
Germany didn't get from nazis to where they are now without what effectively was a two-generation occupation force.

@osma that is true. And we are unlikely to offer something similar for Russia. Which is the irony in all this, since Putin started the war claiming we were on the brink of attacking Moscow.
