@vantablack have you tried it? i'm super curious because i remember seeing a talk by some wizened old technologist who said that car companies have done studies that show that the reason heated seats work is not that they heat up your body so much as that if your ass warms up you FEEL warmer than the actual watts would imply due to some kind of neurological ass-amplification principle. this might work the same way?
@vantablack i feel like a healthy layer of insulating material is probably called for around the actual ice. like some kind of silicone. or rather a whole array of silicone enclosures of differing thicknesses for comparison. at which point it's a whole physics experiment. THIS IS THE KIND OF PHYSICS I WOULD BE DOING IF I WERE NOT HELD HOSTAGE BY THE EMPIRE
