I dunno, but I feel like "what if everything was this, all the time forever" is not a great strategy? Like, at any level.

Not great for the the service, or the product, or the producer, or the consumer. Not great for the people who use the thing. Not great for the people on whom the thing is used. Not great for the people who rely on the results of the thing. And definitely not great for society.

And in case it wasn't coming through, when I say "not great" I mean dog shit.

@jenniferplusplus it extra doesn't help that a lot of companies pushing these things got the memo that people don't want it and instead of stopping just stopped calling it AI/LLM/SD or anything recognizeable. My phone will prompt to "enhance" or "upscale" photos depending on where in the UI I am and if you say yes you get obvious stable diffusion output. I guess I'm lucky it even prompts.
