@gerrymcgovern Agreed! We also have to look at where industry is often being placed from a societal standpoint. It's often built in poor neighborhoods. Sometimes city and county governments will issue exemptions to zoning restrictions to allow industry to be built in poor neighborhoods.
@housepanther it's pretty much always built in poor neighborhoods. Capitalism can only exist by devouring the poor and Nature.
@gerrymcgovern Capitalism is the problem and definitely not the solution. Well, maybe more perfectly stated, unregulated and corrupt capitalism. We could argue though that capitalism encourages corruption.

There is no baby in the bathwater of capitalism. Capitalism is built on core principles that are inexcusably unjust and destructive. Regulation doesn't change that, just like regulation can't make slavery ok, or genocide.
