More massive vehicles on the road mean more tire wear, thus more 6PPD-Q in the air and in our food.

Vehicles have been getting more massive just as a function of getting bigger. Now add vehicles using batteries as structural elements to the mix.

Car culture will be the death of us. But even before that, it will be the death of our memories.

To clarify:

Suburban sprawl was and is only possible through car culture.

White flight was and is only possible through car culture.

Redlining was and is only possible through car culture.

A society must be organized around privately owned automobiles for our present mode of white supremacy to be legible.

Electrification of those vehicles, contributing more tire dust through more mass carried, only intensifies a colonial ethic of geography and the colonial externalities of that ethic.
