I know you're not supposed to pick a lock that's in use, and you're not supposed to pick a lock without permission, and you're not supposed to steal stuff...

But hear me out—they were locking the park bathroom at dusk so homeless people can't use it, and doing it in such a way that you can't close the door for privacy during the day either...again.

This is a shitty thing to do to homeless folx, and a dangerous thing to do for vulnerable populations such as women, kids, and queers.

Last time I just moved the lock so my partner could close the door. This time I'm keeping it.

@alice What I do in these situations is open the lock, disassemble it and remove the pins, then spread the word that the lock can be opened with a screwdriver or pocket knife or whatever. That prevents it from being replaced with a new, working, lock.
