New tattoo, which was really the opportunity to lie still and listen to the story of a young tattooist starting out. We talked about bodies, injuries, surgeries, healing, family, love. What a craft it is to put ink on someone that will be there for their whole life.
@kate I love hearing about someone’s new artwork that they’d been looking forward to, what did you get?
@emmadavidson She made me a design of three gingko leaves, for my three formidable adult children. I really enjoyed talking to her about how I’d come to this thought now that they’re all living independently, but we’re still systemically connected.
