@petrillic we've had it since the start of the year and are only now getting to the point of being able to reasonably go from a kicad design to placement programs without like hand typing xy coordinates for each part
@petrillic this is the second "real" board we've attempted to actually populate as part of the test program, the first one was a lot simpler and we only did the back.
This one we're going to attempt the front too, although likely hand placing some of the parts still (there's a bunch of voltage dividers on power rails where we have like one unique value on the board, for a run of 4 boards not worth machine placing).
@azonenberg Do you all have a "real" reflow oven? That's my next build. Hot plate works ok, but sometimes I would like to stick things on both sides, and that means and oven.
@petrillic As of right now, we have:
1) Farberware toaster oven at my place with no controller that I've profiled and works well manually
2) Toaster oven at their shop with a little MCU based controller
3) Actual Essemtec conveyor oven that isn't in service yet because it needs 3-phase power and the current shop doesn't ave that, but it was too cheap on eBay to pass up
@azonenberg I've got the parts for a reflow master pro, I just have been dicking around and not building it. I even designed some custom trays to hold boards.
One day. One of a million projects.
