@sundogplanets here we are on our third record breaking, week long heatwave of the year.

I *thought* about AC, as we got to 36C. I bought myself a cheap ice machine instead, it’s been amazing.

@sundogplanets Canada was colonized by people who came from an island where it rarely froze in the winter, and rarely got much over 20C in the summer.

I have to imagine if they'd come from the west (China, Russia) instead of the east (Yurp) some city planning / architectural things would have gone differently.

In the modern climate changey world, if Canada is to remain viable, it might make sense to build down. Underground it is warmer than outdoors in winter and cooler in the baking hot summer.
