Umm, no. Fossil fuel companies and the power plants burning those fossil fuels are responsible for those emissions, as are the governments allowing the extraction and burning of those fossil fuels.
Stop blaming consumers.

(This is of course ignoring the greenhouse potential of the refrigerants themselves, but my air conditioner uses propane, and I believe most of the world is switching to hydrocarbons and CO2, which have far lower greenhouse potential than HFCs.)
I'm not nitpicking here. Laying blame where it belongs is incredibly important for addressing climate change. Because going after the end use of energy is a game of whackamole: cutting use causes prices to fall, so someone else uses more.
The only way to cut CO2 emissions is by leaving fossil fuels in the ground. Anything else is just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
Datacenters aren't even the problem when it comes to climate change. Eliminate fossil fuel extraction, and it wouldn't matter at all how many datacenters got built.
Well, making concrete does cause some emissions. But it doesn't have to! Carbon negative concrete is a thing.
This is why I just roll my eyes when people pat themselves on the back for more solar. More solar just increases energy use, because demand isn't fixed. You have to shut down oil and gas wells and coal mines, and stop further exploration.
Exploration does slow when prices get low enough, but low prices always end up stimulating demand again. Look at all the efficiency and alternative fuel projects that got spun up in the 70s only to die when the oil crisis ended.
