the thing i don't understand about individual vibe-coders working with a personal account is: why are you spending all this time developing work habits with a tool that will absolutely be taken away from you at some point??? there is **zero** chance the subscription model is going to continue to exist. they must know this.

Compute power is always getting cheaper, so far exponentially. If vibe-coding turns out to be productive (and I agree that's a big if) it's only a matter of time before it becomes affordable at realistic prices.
ok, maybe they want to build for free while the AI labs are giving away free treats, but then they built something that they can't maintain or change once the treats are taken away. so in the end, they still just wasted a bunch of time. it's very weird.
