I woke up somewhat annoyed, looked at lobsters, hid 4 threads without looking at them.
On one hand, go me, I don't need more annoyances in my life. On the other hand, there's a possibility my blocklist will be missing a few accounts. Chances are, though... I'll block the same accounts based on other threads later.
@algernon I'd so love to learn more 😅I don't have an account there so I only filtered one specific tag on the site (and it was a huge improvement), but there is one person who I'd love to not hear from ever again
@device I'm using a custom uBlock Origin blocklist, based on this template.
It can hide stories submitted by certain users (and you won't even see them in the list). It can block comments (you'll see the commenter, but not the comment itself), and can block entire threads (where you will see the thread starter, but not the contents, nor any replies).
My personal filters are available from https://s6.csillger.hu/ublock/lobsters/ - but be aware, it's very opinionated, I block quite liberally. There are no receipts in the blocklist either (there are in the sources these were generated from, but the source isn't public).
