Hm, I like this dropdown a lot. And the regular sidebar is still there, so like the dialog doesn't drastically change (still resizes tho)

The problem is again small sizes, esp mobile in landscape...

Portrait is tolerable, landscape is unusable. Previouly it would use the wide layout here, but it can't because of the sidebar.

Controls prefs with the regular sidebar on the left and a controller dropdown at the top.

And mobile in landscape. The dropdown and diagram take so much pace that the list is completely offscreen.

hm, what if we had an icon-only sidebar on this specifc view

The same view but the sidebar has collapsed to icons only

And mobile landscape, it still works fine

this is a giant hack, I think I'll look at having this isn AdwSidebar directly I think. Otherwise - it works. Like, it just works. I'm polishing this up and landing it in main lol

Landed the scale transition I mentioned in the quoted post.

It is a bit different, there's black background under the clipped area now, and it handles insets correctly (e.g. the header bar and the touch controls on mobile).

Previously it would always transition from the cover to the center of the window even if the game is shifted.
