i knew i would have to learn a lot of new stuff to learn accordion but i was just practicing "knowing how much impedance this box of wind has when it goes from sucking to blowing so that i can move my arm fast enough but not too fast to make the air stay the same when my arm gets too far away and i need to switch directions" and that is not a very intuitive feeling for me yet
@jonny nice. What kind of accordion are you learning?
@jonny for me the biggest thing currently is 'doing different things with either hand' which as a brass musician is just brain-breaking.
It took me a while to figure out that you were not talking about either software or electronics.
fingers are getting better at the buttons, arm is still lagging behind and not exactly knowing what is going on, i think i'm at the level of acceptable knowing where i can start lessons without being a total drag on the teacher.
@jonny you will like David Sudnow's Ways of the Hand (2000 edition) — riveting first person phenomenological report of learning to play (in his case) the piano
@dingemansemark you know what i like with a startling degree of accuracy, mark
