If you’re thinking “hey, that’s a moth!”, then you have been bamboozled by the drain fly! (Clogmia albipunctata)

This one obliged me a few fun snapshots when it landed on the mirror.

They’re utterly harmless and I don’t bother trying to “do something about them”. The carnivorous plants I keep in my windowsill bog do appreciate their contributions though. 🤭 #Insects

The fly cosplaying as a moth mentioned in the post has landed on a mirror. This creates an almost doubled image where we see the ventral side reflected and offset to the upper left of the fluffy light brown fly with fuzzy antennae and white speckles in two lines on its wings.

The same fly has moved to a pale sea blue wall. The poster holds the tip of a cotton swab next to it, showing just how teensy this little 2mm fly is.
