It's a scandal that Google continues to allow Play Store direct linking from Chrome given the dark patterns Meta and TikTok have plastered all over their websites.

Are they doing something beyond the usual deep links with a registered system handler?
@viraptor I mean, it's "standard" in the sense that the Android intent handler format provides fallbacks forn unhandled intent URLs that drop you into the store. Any self-respecting browser should disallow that.
