Looks like Rua Bioscience are leveraging the recent liberalisation of industrial hemp regulations to get back to their founding goal of creating a legal income stream for small growers. Not sure if the tangata whenua who started the company are still in control though.
"We’re taking expressions of interest from people who would like to buy hemp clones from Rua, available from October 2026."
Rua could produce CBD products from that hemp.
